FAQ - Eligibility Criteria and Document Requirement

What is the requirement for applying Promise's personal loan?

Applicant must be aged 18 or above and a Hong Kong resident with Hong Kong ID card.

Can I apply if my salary is paid in cash without any income proof?

Sure, we may grant exemption to applicants in individual cases.

What information and documents are required to apply for the personal loan?

Applicant must provide the following information:

  • Information on HKID card,
  • Residency information (e.g. phone number, address, etc.),
  • Job information (e.g. company phone number, address, etc.), and

Following documents are also required:

  • Hong Kong ID card
  • Bank book, bank statement or ATM card (with name of account holder and account number)
  • Proof of residential address*
  • Proof of income* (e.g. payslip, company letter, proof of contribution of MPF, etc.)

*All documents must be issued within the last 3 months.
